I think this is the first time we've actually been at a place where a substantial amount of leaves fall on the ground.
I would also like to reference this moment in the future, as both of my kids both wanted to rake at the same time -- they were mad at me for hogging one of the rakes! I'm assuming this motivation to lend a helping hand around the house will continue well into their teens.

Just as yours did - lost your enthusiasm for yard work at about 10! About the time you and they will lose interest in jumping in the pile of leaves. Enjoy it while you can.
