Fazendinha

Note the cameo appearance in the background.

...Lap 20.  Dylan was not too happy when his turn was over.

Who would have thought that just a few miles away from our home (in a city with over 10 million people)there's a farm for the kids to play at.

Back to the beach

This time with Grandma and Uncle Jeremy, of course all the photos are of our kids... perhaps I can get some more photos of the trip sent my way from the other active cameras.  We stayed at the same place we took the kids a couple weeks back and had great weather.

The ride to the beach is part of the experience as well, mountains, tunnels... 2 unsupervised donkeys crossing the road, you know, your standard trip.  From what I understand, Grandma and Uncle Jeremy had another Brazilian transportation experience on their way back to the airport -- the two hour car ride morphed into four, traffic in this country is hit or miss.  One day it's smooth sailing, the next, you creep going 5 mph for a 10 mile strip... luckily they made it to their plane as the doors were closing.

Wheels

Haven't had much time to post since my family is in town.  These were from a little over a week ago, I put together Dylan's big wheel but he cannot reach the pedals yet -- he still likes to sit on it and scoot around using his feet.  As you can see, Maddie is in desperate need of new wheels -- she already put in a request for Christmas.

2 Years Old

We had a small party for Dylan when we got back from the beach -- we are also planning another party when Grandma and Uncle Jeremy are in town next week as well.

Juquehy Beach

We planned a trip to this beach for when Grandma and Uncle Jeremy are here -- problem is, we've never been to it before!   So we thought it was necessary to scope it out beforehand, you know -- to make sure it was nice.  It passed the test, this place was one of the best beaches I have ever been to in my life and it's only 2.5 hours away by car.

The other family we went with has two boys, that's Diego in the back.  Funny story, I was talking with my friend  (Diego's Dad, who's name is also Diego) when he asked me where his son was, my response -- he's at the bar with Madison!  They ended up ordering two orange juices (suco de laranja).

The bartender commented on Dylan's impressive Portuguese skills.
