Maddie likes to point at things she likes, she loves fountains!
I guess there are pros and cons with her pointing skills. We still have to teach her some dinner table etiquette. Here's Maddie putting in a request for the bread roll on the table.
Cailee has her own personality. She's either laughing, taking or growling at us. For the most part she's been a trooper with this teething business. She's breaking 3 upper teeth at once (poor honey).
Avery got his first set of wheels for his 5th. I hear he's already a much better driver than his father. He backed his new car down the driveway, without hitting Grandma's car, and took it for a spin around the cul de sac.
Our trip to daycare was quite an adventure... let's just say it was a smelly car ride. After changing her clothes at daycare, I did a u-turn and took the day off. Sick day for Maddie!! Aside from the constant fussiness, the last hour or so has been really easy - - she hasn't moved from this position!
We tried to feed Maddie this morning, but she was more content sitting on the couch and taking care of herself! Here she is lounging on the couch eating her breakfast.
Do they still have tupperware parties? I think I'm on to something, maybe that will be Madison's first birthday theme? ...something tells me that Mom wouldn't go for that.
I finally got the pictures emailed to me! About two months ago, Michele mailed these pictures over of Madison and Cailee, along with some coupons. Upon careful selection of the coupons that we would benefit most from, I picked out my favorite picture:
Another cold and snowy weekend. We bundled Maddie up and took her for a nice family stroll around the mall. It was a good trip, no purses were purchased... only bought 5 pairs of baby socks.
Maddie's starting to crawl around fast now. Although not a pro yet, she can pull herself up to standing - just needs to be enticed with a toy. She has also graduated to the big girl car seat! Two minutes into the trip - - out cold. Sleeps like her mother, with her mouth wide open.
No more bringing the toys over to this little girl. Maddie will dig until she gets what she's looking for. The bag is filled with all books...... and one toy. I guess she's not particulary interested in reading yet.
What a breeze! This is easy! Maddie and I have pretty much kept the same routine as when Mom is home... except for the music selection. Instead of playing the Baby Einstein songs before bedtime, I switched the playlist to some 80's hairband ballads. We sang some Poison songs together, she loved it!
Madison hasn't been this bundled up in a home since she last visited Rob and Michele C's house! She didn't pull herself up, but if we give her a little boost she'll ham it up for the camera.
Up until last week, Maddie was content just sitting in one spot on the floor and crying if the toys didn't make their way over to her. Then out of nowhere, she decided to start sitting up on her own... and now she's starting to crawl in small doses! Making about 3 movements forward before she gets a little scared, and then sits back up. It looks like in a couple of weeks she's going to be roaming about! Time to baby proof the house!
