Fun in the Sun
Maddie and Mom enjoyed the pleasant weather last weekend - - playing with the sidewalk chalk from the Easter Bunny (Grandma)
... and chasing bubbles for over 20 minutes!

Baby Boy on the Way...
Well, the ultrasound (and doctor) both confirmed: There's a high likelihood that the next addition to the F family (in MI) will be a boy! Maddie is going to have a younger brother to look after!

Easter in Buffalo
Maddie sure had a fun filled weekend with her family and friends in Buffalo. We snapped this pic right after she downed a handful of M&Ms.

Madison was all about collecting the most eggs on Easter morning, Chelsea provided a helping hand too.

I am not a fan of cats, but my daughter definitely is. She seriously spent the majority of her time playing with this feline. Her mother is now making a strong push for Maddie's 2nd bday, a cat?? If I cave on this one, it's all over...

Maddie's Favorite Doll
Lately the Little One cannot go anywhere without her favorite baby doll -- everywhere Maddie goes, the baby doll goes! Crib, car, dinner table.... luckily she hasn't brought it into the tub at night, probably just a matter of time. She takes good care of her doll, getting ready to be the perfect older sister!

Pardon Me!
Pardon me Little Miss Madison, can I use my computer?? There used to be a time when she wanted to sit on my lap and watch her youtube videos. However, Maddie quickly learned that she could handle the controls herself, and prefers her own space. I snapped this pic while she was watching one of her personal faves... a hippo singing "The Lions Sleeps Tonight".

I was able to distract her for a brief moment and catch a smile.

Where's Maddie?
Madison's latest thing (besides speaking her mind - - don't know where she got that from), has been to hide behind things and then laugh out loud. Which makes finding her quite difficult.

Open Commitment?
So a little over a week ago I received the following email:

Dan,
Please e-mail me the family pic you have on the blog. I'll e-mail some holiday pics to you.
Love, Mom

I promptly responded to the above request, and have been anxiously awaiting more 'holiday' pics.
But after a week had passed... I then realized - - I misinterpreted the message. Holiday meant Easter 2009.

Christmas Vacation
I admit, I was a slacker with the camera over the past week... that's why I have faith in the rest of my family to send some nice pictures. We took a few in MA... then our camera was pretty much idle in NY. Here's a nice family shot...

Maddie and Sienna playing in Christine's room. It's rather obvious that Madison has a favoritism issue when it comes to her dolls.
Madison, Christine, Emily and Sienna posing on the stairs... this one came out great! and required extreme patience from all parents... you are also witnessing a miracle - all 4 kids looking forward at the same time. I retired the camera for the Christmas Break after this debacle, way too much effort for a thousandth of a second.

Thanksgiving in Mexico
Madison visited her cousin Sienna on Thanksgiving, they both seemed to enjoy each others company. We left for Mexico on Wednesday, and the weather was perfect - - 75 and sunny. A sharp contrast to the frigid Motown. Maddie didn't know what to do with herself at first, but she eventually warmed up to the beach scene and loved it.

After the usual 20 attempts, we finally got her to strike a pose...

The waves came up and splashed into her feet, after which she jumped frantically and fell onto her bum... she wasn't particularly delighted with the temperature of the water. Nonetheless, this is the first time she touched the ocean.

Before we headed down to the beach, Madison and Sienna were anxiously awaiting to go downstairs and play.

The food exchange: Sienna feeding Madison...

On the way home, one of us enjoyed pure comfort for the entire flight...

Time to go!

A pic in front of the S's house, before we went out to lunch.

The Little Artist
Madison isn't shy about showing off her special aptitude in artistry... she sure loves her crayons.

She doesn't limit her artistic skills to just paper and coloring books either... I think she is trying to tell me something here. Unfortunately the crayons are washable, and this low cost hair replacement came off in the shower.

Happy Halloween!
It was Madison's first Halloween out of the house. It was also 'orange and black day' at daycare, and mom choose a nice outfit to kick off the festivities...

We decided to go with Minnie (she loves her Minnie doll at home) - - and Minnie has made its way into Madison's expanded 20+ word vocabulary.

After an hour of trick-or-treating, which included a grand total of 3 houses, we decided to come back home. Somebody thought outside was still the better option, as indicated by her cute hand gesture.

We quickly grabbed our candy supply to divert her attention - - funny how soon she forgets with sweets in front of her. She loved her kit-kat, we gave her a half a stick.

Next house!
