Coloring Skills

Little D showing off his coloring skills today.  Lately he's been focusing more and finishing the task at hand -- puzzles, mazes, coloring.  Throw Turtles in the mix and for sure the job gets done.

Cold and Rainy Fall Day

Almost 3 years ago, this was one night before we packed up and moved to Brazil -- Little D must have been snoozin' or with Mom.

The years have gone by and the kids haven't missed a beat with their friends.  They were supposed to jump in a huge leaf pile, but the weather didn't cooperate -- nothing popcorn and a movie couldn't fix.

Happy Birthday to Me

Madison made the card below all by herself, best gift a Dad could get.

In prior years I treated my birthday as a non-event.  This year I decided I might as well hype it up and enjoy... welcoming all attention and cheer.  Tonight the family is headed out for dinner, I'm definitely springing for the birthday dessert.

Pumpkin art

The kids each drew faces with markers on their pumpkins -- I still need to take pictures of the finished product, would make sense I suppose.

Changing seasons

I think this is the first time we've actually been at a place where a substantial amount of leaves fall on the ground.

I would also like to reference this moment in the future, as both of my kids both wanted to rake at the same time -- they were mad at me for hogging one of the rakes!  I'm assuming this motivation to lend a helping hand around the house will continue well into their teens.

Our friends stopped in for a night over the weekend, last time they visited we had two kids combined between both of our families!  Weather was perfect, everyone had a great time.
