Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to take a last minute trip out to WNY for the weekend, the cousins had a great time playing together.

Maddie's First Dance Recital

After months of hard work and dedication, Madison had her first dance recital -- she's been in a weekly class since September last year, Maddie only missed a couple classes over the entire span.

Happy Mother's Day

Here's a pic from Mother's Day back in 1979 of two fine young boys who were raised by a wonderful mom.  Fast forward 30 years later, it's now safe to complete a report card on her work:

• Kids both graduated college - CHECK
• Both kids happily married - CHECK
• 4 Grandchildren - CHECK
• Kids' teaching their kids family values they learned growing up - CHECK
• We still remember how to set a table - CHECK

I'd say that's an A+.

School Fair

I didn't take many pics at Maddie's school fair, it was quite hard to maneuver in the school with all the kids around.  I did manage to snap a few outside in the open though -- as you can see Dylan got his face painted, he went with the "warrior" which I feel was an appropriate choice.  We waited a solid 30 minutes for that artwork too, I think if they just handed me the paint and a brush I could have performed an equal or even better job and saved myself the time, but I didn't have the opportunity.

Things that go

I can't stand this song, I'm changin' it.

Dylan's pre-school had a fair with a bunch of local vehicles to climb into -- I thought they did a good job pulling this together, lots to do.

First soccer practice

Maddie had her first soccer practice last week, lots going on these days.  Madison has swim, dance and soccer -- Dylan has swim and and is starting up ice skating classes this Sunday (I've been taking him out to open skates on the weekends, nothing by himself yet-- this is the prerequisite for the hockey classes).
