April Showers

The rain gear that Mom ordered was at our door step just in time to take a walk in the April shower.  I used an umbrella that was hanging on by a thread and was eventually demolished by the wind -- it did manage to keep my hair dry though.

Certificate

Partial slackage on my part with the blog posts the past couple of weeks, although I can blame part of it on my last minute trip to Fort Lauderdale to go golfing with some of my friends from WNY -- turns out the trip was worth it, the weather was perfect and I had a great time.

Anyway, Little D got his first certificate a couple weeks back, he's starting to get into somewhat of a routine where he'll sit down and focus for a while -- I say routine loosely, he gets in his moods when he wants to do work... and then there's his routine where he wants to play hockey (for a few hours, every day, for 7 days straight).

Maddie and Chelsea

I don't think I got a shot of all four kids in one picture, so I broke it up into two posts.  These pics were from our nature walk in the woods behind the house -- we ended up seeing a snake on our adventure, but the effort to make a capture was weak.  Only one person put forth a solid attempt to grab it out of the grass, Aunt Jackie!  I give her an A for effort, ripping grass up trying to get at it, but the snake was too elusive and he made a clean escape.  I would have tried to grab it... but my hands were all chapped.

Family in Town

The gang was in town from WNY -- Grandma, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Jackie, Avery and Chelsea.  We kept pretty busy and the weather was great -- able to spend a decent amount of time outdoors.  Maddie and Dylan disappeared with their older cousins for most of the weekend -- especially Dylan and Avery, they logged in some good time playing with the legos.
