Swim Class

We signed the kids up at another swim class, a bit more structured than what they had in Brazil.  Swimming at an early age is an unwritten requirement in my family, I don't want to worry while I'm around any body of water with these kids -- fortunately they both love the class.  Dylan is a bit more fearless than Maddie, but I suspect they both will be swimming on their own within a few months.

Family Pictures

I have opposed the (professional) family photo session for quite some time.  After all, I've captured quite a few good pics over the years on this blog -- and I consider my skills above average.  I suppose it was worth it though, maybe I'll sign up for it again in a couple years... assuming this doesn't turn annual.

More fun in the snow

Looks deceiving, the kids were actually on their knees.

Snow deer.

Finally worked my way through all of the pictures over the Christmas vacation.

After Long Island, we stopped back in WNY for a few days to see the family -- as you can see, they got quite a bit of snow.  The kids loved it!

Annie in NYC

All the ladies went downtown to watch Annie on Broadway -- I have pictures of them all, except for Aunt Inez, I think I have a 3 second video clip of her singing... I need to dig around.

Christmas Day

Mom and Dylan took a stroll while Maddie and I were at church.

Dylan found a crab leg on his walk

We were in Long Island on Christmas morning, I believe Santa delivered all required gifts -- how couldn't he, we had half of Toys-R-Us in our car on the ride home!  Now, 1.5 weeks later, the kids remember roughly 20% of the gifts they received.  Nonetheless, they had a good time and enjoyed tearing open the gifts when they woke up.

Trip to NYC

Taking the train into the city.

Everyone at Times Square.
We spent a good portion of Christmas Eve in NYC, everyone had a great time.  Plenty to see -- we wrapped up the day with dinner downtown before heading back to prepare for Santa's arrival.
