Another fun day at Maddie's school for Festa Junina, this is the same party we went to last year as well.  I was a little bit disappointed as one of the stands, the beer stand, had been eliminated -- but for the kids, it was the same set-up as last year and they had a great time.  We took a ton of pics, more to follow...

Activity time

I have to admit, I haven't been doing these activities with Madison as much as I used to -- I need to step it up.  Even with a less structured routine doing her activity books, I can tell she's going to be quite the mathlete. 

Morning art session

The kids wanted to use the easel this morning -- Maddie painted a lovely picture while Dylan used the chalk board on the other side.  I drew the Incredible Hulk for Dylan (per his request) and then he wanted to add orange fire on the Hulk for an added flare.  For the record, even though my artistic talent is clearly above average, I am not interested in pursuing a new career with Marvel Comics.

Sao Paulo 90210

Madison has been taking her fashion to the next level lately.  The boots she's wearing are special for her festa junina party next week -- however Maddie convinced us yesterday that the boots went well with this outfit as well.  So, we all went out to a pizza restaurant to meet up with some friends -- and Maddie made her grand entrance.

Francoson

Madison isn't big on smiling for photos, unless of course it's with her friend Franco.  The past few weeks Madison has been talking quite a bit about Franco at home (...and she recently told him at school that she wanted to marry him) -- then Cathy learned at the Mother's Day party during a conversation with Franco's Mom that he has been talking quite a bit about Madison at home too! 

Needless to say, Franco made the cut for the birthday invites to Madison's party -- in fact, she requested that we put an exclamation point next to his name to add a little pizazz to the card.

Mother's Day Party at School

Madison's class had a special party for all of the moms -- they sang a few songs and handed out cards and crafts they worked on the past two weeks for their mothers.

The kids were particularly antsy when I got home from work.  So after dinner we took a night stroll, equipped with lantern, flashlight and light-up wand.  No story behind these pics, other than Maddie informing me of a short cut home that I wasn't aware of.  There also was a motive for this trip, Madison negotiated a bag of M&Ms upon arrival to the clube.
